The German Social State on Trial
The German Social State on Trial
Introduction to the Statement of Claim
A real‑time record of the German health insurer lawsuit (Case S 71 KR 2202⁄24) before the Social Court of Berlin. This timeline documents only verified procedural actions: filings, court notices, insurer responses, and judicial steps.
Why This Timeline Is Public
After gaining access to the administrative file, the plaintiff discovered missing documents, incomplete notes, and absent medical records. Because social courts operate under the principle of transparency, each procedural step is documented without interpretation.
04 May 2025—Lawsuit Filed
A lawsuit was submitted to the Social Court of Berlin against the statutory health insurer IKK Classic.
The filing argues that the insurer’s actions caused economic and physical harm through five interconnected mechanisms: manufactured deficiency, manipulated accounting, concealed assets, unlawful continuation of proceedings, and medically induced loss of work capacity.
The complaint further states that IKK Classic issued contribution demands based on the very damage it helped create and suspended benefits immediately after the case was transferred to the Social Court—before the court had issued any decision.
The legal basis of the case is outlined in the Statement of Claim, and the complete filing is available as the full complaint (PDF).
All referenced evidence is contained in the Social Court file S 71 KR 2202⁄24 and listed in the Document Archive.
